WINNERS & LOSERS

Very proud of Bella this week, when she won the Yr6 Youth Speaks competition run by The Rotary Club, with her speech on oranges.

With sports day already cancelled once due to the bad weather, we were lucky on Monday, when the sun shone and it was able to go ahead. The blue team (which the girls are in) won the day.
Losers........well that had to be the day we lost the vote to  remain in Europe, and Brexit won by a very small majority. There hasn't been a lot to be positive about since, just a lot of lies, politicians resigning, and the exchange rate plummeting (just before we go on holiday)I hope it all works out for the sake of the girls, trying to stay optimistic, but I have a feeling its going to take a long long time.

School Book Day saw Mabel dress as The Cat In The Hat

she then proceeded to walk home along the beach, on the ferry and a quick stop at the pub, still dressed up as The Cat In The Hat.

New makes this week included some new upcycled Marvel Comic fabric dresses

and some Paddington Bear dresses

and some ladies dresses and a top

I've also been making these little bags from scraps of fabric I had left over from my dresses, and they've been very popular.

This week we started a Summer Sale. There's 25% OFF over on the website, so there's lots of bargains!

NEW SEASON, NEW CUSTOMERS

This is the second time I've found this fabric and I love it so much. I love the colours and the designs are so random.

Mabel enjoyed modeling the upcycled Paddington Bear fabric dress, teamed up with her welly boots and duffel coat she really got into the part!

Another of my absolute favourites this month is this Scandinavian fabric with the simplicity of the 3 colours and quirky pattern.

Same dress - different fabric CHERRIES

This month saw a few small wholesale orders come through the first was for a some oilcloth book bags, from an International Book Shop in Czech Amadito & Friends

The other was from a new children's internet company Thoroughly Modern Baby

We managed to fit a party in for Harry's birthday, for which we bought  a glitter ball  (still up)  I made some lemon and strawberry vodka jellies, the weather was great all evening, lots of dancing and lots of laughs so much so that I forgot to take some photo's!

Mabel went to her friends birthday and had a great time with her friend Nadine having their faces painted as dogs.

Love it when people send me photo's of my little customers in their new dresses and this is little Mabel from Brighton modeling her new Marvel Comic fabric long sleeve dresses.

Mia from Switzerland wearing her tunic dress.

ever_and_willa featured the red and white Scandinavian print dress on their Instagram and it looked sooo cute on her little one.

AUGUST IN ALL ITS GLORY

It's been over a month since the last post and the holidays are over.  What did we do? Well the first two weeks were spent with family in sunny Valencia, relaxing in the sun.

Just not ripe enough, Mabel disappointed with the lack of edible grapes

Back in the UK, we had a few days before Mabel and me were off to Bristol Children's Hospital for Mabel to have a diagnostic catheter to make sure her stent was working as it should.  Luckily everything was good and she has even been taken off her medication for the moment.
We have recently given permission for her case and treatment to be featured in next years British Medical Journal as we have just found out that Mabel was the first child to have this particular procedure in this country. Mabel makes it into another publication!!

The rest of the Summer was spent enjoying the sunshine and spending a lot of time at the park or the skate park which we are lucky enough to have on the seafront. We even managed a visit to our friends in Worthing
