A FEW NEW DRESSES

Although it has been a little chaotic at the moment I've still managed to add some new dresses to the collection. The first one has had a really good reaction, they are made from a piece of vintage Laura Ashley fabric sourced at a vintage fair by Sam at peagreen furniture I've managed to make a few and some have already been reserved for a new little shop opening soon in Lymington Hampshire.

Another new one, also going to Lymington is this nautical style dress made with french boat fabric and blue and white ticking, fully lined with cream cotton.
Couldn't resist this little piece of fabric only enough to make one little dress is 3-4 (truly unique)

And finally, still working through my Cath Kidston cowboy fabric, I've created a couple of new dresses contrasting it with red and white gingham

EASTER AND BEYOND

Easter just around the corner, I've been really busy getting the website updated, preparing for fairs neglecting the housework, and now half terms here, it's time to spend some time with the family.
It's taking all my multi tasking skills to the max, but yes I can do it!!!

First project was the decorate an egg contest at Bella's school.  We went for The Red Queen from Alice In Wonderland.  Were in with a chance?.... Weren't sure if the judge would have seen the film.
We didn't win but we had great fun putting it together!

Have been busy cutting out and putting together some great new dresses for my pending fairs.
Here are a couple dresses made with some Cath Kidston fabric.

And some more.  Really like getting the contrasting ones together.

Friday after school it was over to The Northcott Theatre in Exeter with the girls to see
"Tiddler & Other Terrific Tales"

Saturday it was off to The All Things Lovely & Vintage Fair at The Imperial Hotel Torquay.  I sold 12 of my bags to a shop in Plymouth, and some of my dresses went down the catwalk.

Sunday it was off to The Craft Hub event at Topsham, always a good event for selling and making new contacts. Really enjoyed the day

Have had to replenish my oilcloth stocks and get cutting out in time for Saturdays second Exminster Market

Very difficult when your daughter thinks its a nice place to lie down....
This picture of Mabel really sums up how I feel right now!

HERE COME THE GIRLS!!

I'll be launching the Spring/Summer website this week, I've given myself a deadline of the weekend when the clocks Spring forward and Spring officially starts (in my opinion anyway).
My girls have been doing their bit for the label this week, albeit under much persuasion and bribery.  I was hoping for some sunshine, but there is only so long you can wait

LOVE IT/HATE IT ?

I've just finished four new reversible dresses.  Upcycled from a large piece of Cath Kidston fabric. I've had mixed reactions (which I always think is a good thing)  People either love it or hate it including Bella (hate it) and Mabel (love it) I think it's because they don't get the cowboy print (mainly seen as a boy print) on a girls Summer dress.
Only time will tell with my first fair of the season, the new monthly Exminster Market on 3rd March just round the corner!
