MORE SUMMER FUN

Two great weeks of festivities at our Carnival and Regatta

An amazing achievement for Mabel, she learnt to ride a bike.  As she  has a left side weakness, which causes her problems with balance it was an extra proud moment!

and there was no stopping her. Here on the boardwalk on Torquay seafront.

We are normally away on holiday when the British Firework Championships take place on the Hoe in Plymouth, but this year we were lucky enough to be able to attend.

New lined tote bags available on the website in September

and still making more and more Christmas decorations

WEEK 1 OF 6

Week one of the Summer holidays went really well, hugely helped along by the sunshine which always makes things a lot cheerier.
This week was Teignmouth Carnival Week, where the town puts on a programme of events on the Den.  One of which was a talent contest that Bella wanted to take part in and suprised us all with her rendition of Valerie by Amy Winehouse confident and determined she sang her heart out.
Bella hits the stage
Mabel and her mates hit the teacups

We've also managed to spend some time at the beach storing up on Vitamin D while we can!

Harry and I even managed to have a child free lunch at The Ode in Shaldon sat out in the sun looking over the bay eating salt & pepper squid and sand eels......beautiful.
And the week ended with the purchase of Frieda our new Mazda Friendee who is the new addition to our family.
We have been busy buying sleeping bags etc in preparation for our first trip away next week either to North Devon or Cornwall.  Of course the sun has now been replaced by rain but it will not dampen our spirits, she it our ticket to freedom, adventure and fun....and of course the occasional tears!

CARNIVAL WEEK

This week we have celebrated our annual Teignmouth Carnival, and the sun even shone for most of it.
All along the seafront there were sculptures made from various recycled items with an environmental theme.   Here are a few of my favourites..

Mabel enjoying the sunshine and her Luder's cheese straws. She insisted on holding them very tightly to make sure the seagulls didn't get them!
Carnival

On Saturday we headed up on to Dartmoor and a visit to Pixieland
I can't leave Dartmoor without having another of those traditional Devon calorie filled treats.
Devon ice cream, topped with Devon clotted cream and finished with a chocolate flake.....The best!
Oh Yes!!!!

MY SISTER MABEL IS HAVING A SUMMER SALE.  LOTS OF LOVELY BARGAINS.
