CHRISTMAS PREPARATIONS

We started our Christmas shopping in Exeter and combined it with a visit to the RAMM to see the National Portrait Awards. These are a few of my favourites.

Then off to the Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market, to wander the lovely stalls and sample the mulled gin in the bar tent, where Harry met the chaplin of Exeter Cathedral. We did get a little bit of shopping done, before stopping for lunch at Compotoir Libinais

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without one of the girls performing or singing in a show.  This year we were watching Bella perform ballet in Alice's Adventures at the Palace Theatre in Torquay

No new makes at this time of the year, but everything has been reduced on the website

SPRING DRESSES, SUNSETS & SONGS

This week I've been finishing off some new dresses, the first has been my new sleeveless, swing Peter Pan Collar dress which I've made using this very popular vintage M&S fabric. I took some really cute photos of Mabel modeling it with her Mary Quant style bob

Leaving the city behind a whole six years ago next month, I still enjoy going back and having my 'city fix' it's something I enjoy and need.
This week as we sat on the beach outside a pub on the river the sun setting and the children playing, there could be no doubt in my mind that we did make the right decision.

On Wednesday Bella went with her school choir to sing at Exeter Cathedral with other choirs, they were joined by the Military Wives. The acoustics and atmosphere were amazing and gave me goosebumps. Very proud Mum moment!

A PROUD MUM MOMENT

On Tuesday Bella went with the school choir to sing at Exeter Cathedral, ten schools took part. In the morning they worked with a member of the London Gospel Community Choir. After their individual performances the schools got together and sang their hearts out to some gospel, what a sound, it was fabulous!
