DAYS OUT

Half term. A two week half term at the girls school, which is set up  to allow families to hopefully be able to book a cheaper holiday outside of the usual school holiday time.  As we are away this Summer for three and a half weeks, we have made no plans to escape, and therefore, with the sun out more than it was in, we had some days out in and around where we live.

EASTER HOLIDAYS

My favourite time of the year.  I love the longer evenings and the way everything seems to wake up. The girls had two weeks off for Easter and although we had nothing planned we spent a lot of time outside enjoying where we live.

With Summer around the corner I've added a new line to the range in the form of these long and short  shorts, made with remnants of my dress fabrics they are all upcycled and unique and have big handy pockets.

The holidays started with Bella taking part in South West England Dance Festival and coming first in the novice ballet. She then went on to win  one of her group ballets and came second in another. Proud Mum moment!

And then before we knew it, the holidays, late nights and lie ins were over and we were back at school for the Spring/Summer term.  I've put together a little Back To School collection with new oilcloth book bags and check Summer dresses made to order in different colours.

WEEKEND - WORK & PLAY

On Saturday we took the girls (kicking and screaming) for a stroll around Stover Park lake, the sun was shining and the Autumn colours were fantastic and they really enjoyed it!

Overdosing on fresh air we headed for the nearest place for refreshments which just happened to be The House Of Marbles which not only as the name suggests exports marbles all over the world ......

it also does the most amazing food (one of Devon's best kept secrets) and as we thought we deserved it  we treated ourselves to one of their mammoth cream teas which came with heart shaped scones.

The weekend also saw me finishing off a few last minute things in preparation for the start of the Christmas Craft Events, which begin on Saturday with The Steiner School Advent Fair in Dartington. I've finished some more Mabel Bags in some new prints.

and some more bunting .............

All in all a very productive weekend
